DC CHINESE FILM FESTIVAL 2018

DC Chinese Film Festival (DCCFF)
is dedicated to discovering outstanding Chinese cinema around the world and to encouraging cultural diversity through films. It has been 7 years since the festival made its debut in 2011. The 4th DC Chinese Film Festival will take place in Washington DC September, 2018.
I work with the programming team on designing and organizing events for the festival with 562 film submissions from over 14 countries and areas
. I am responsible to manage the review process of submissions, track the programming timeline, and collaborate with the media team to promote the festival on social media.
DOUBLE EXPOSURE INVESTIGATIVE FILM FESTIVAL AND SYMPOSIUM 2017
Double Exposure Investigative Film Festival & Symposium
(October 19-22, 2017) celebrates the finest new films inspired by the investigative instinct. 2017 festival included twelve panels with 78 speakers, six workshops, a legal clinic, one-on-one networking meetings, and 11 documentary film screenings (10 of them are DC premieres).
2017 speakers have included Alex Gibney, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Lyric Cabral, Dan Cogan, Bryan Fogel and many more.
Working as the festival manager, I contributed to every stage of the festival, from brainstorming the big ideas to managing collaboration on the team, from managing the budget and resources to delivering the festival objectives. I was in charge of logistics,
design, grant acquisition, programming, outreach, registration, budget, marketing, and many other aspects. I communicated with our team on Slack, and managed the project progress on Google Suites
on a daily basis.

China Global Television Network (CGTN)
also known as CCTV America, is the U.S. production and broadcast arm of China Central Television, and also a multi-language and multi-platform media grouping
1.3 million followers overseas.
As a member of the digital media team, my main responsibility was to manage accounts and edit content for CGTN's online platforms, including its website, YouTube channel, Facebook, Twitter and Weibo. I worked on AP ENPS (a world-standardized news production system), wrote and edited story posts for social media reaching 50k+
, organized and distributed videos on Kaltura (an online media platform for video distribution) and YouTube. I also developed content strategy based on monthly metric-based audience analysis.

GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY FILM FESTIVAL 2017
Director of Programming
Georgetown University Film Festival (GUFF17)
is a platform for student and professional filmmakers to exhibit their work in a professional and welcoming environment. We are dedicated to showcasing the most exciting, provoking, and captivating short films from all over the world.
I served as the director of programming
at the 3rd edition of GUFF
. I managed over 2,100 film submissions on FilmFreeway, assigned films to 35 judges each week and hosted weekly programming meeting to review and discuss the films. I developed a rating system on Google Sheet for our 15 programming committee members to collaborate on selecting films (view the example
). We also solicited films from Sundance, Cannes, Berlinale, Tribeca, SXSW, which were included in the festival.
In the end, we curated four programs with 29 short films, and
held six screenings, two musical performances, two filmmaker panels and one virtual reality showcase at Georgetown campus on April 6-7, 2017.
YIXI TALK 2016
Production Intern/Event Coordinator

TED talk of China
, focuses primarily on the dissemination of native stories and experience in China. It hosts on-site conferences like TED conferences each month, where lecturers from social, scientific, technological and cultural fields share their knowledge, insights and experience through live speeches.
Over 500 lecturers have shared their stories on the stage of Yixi so far with more than 200 million views online.
I worked closely with five speakers by listening to their pitches and offering feedback on the topics. Together with other teammates, we coordinated and launched 13 live talks with over 250 attendees in Beijing on December 22, 2016. I also edited, revised and released the speeches on Yixi's WeChat channel.
